Why the name? Beta is the best definition of business, its always changing, growing, and innovating into something new. No business model is final, it is always being modified, duct-taped, and changes repeatedly. Because the fact that business is continually in motion, we have a job to do.

Since its inception Beta was founded on these principles: to explore and analyze the methods of product creation, to embrace the changing markets and industries, and to reverse engineer, understand and open the service, production and goods ecosystem.

Beta Objects was founded in late 2009 by Eric Stevens. In January 2010 it was successfully backed by a group of family, friends and believers. The original vision of a simple prototype shop where people could develop their ideas, was funded via Kickstarter. In April 2011 Beta Objects launched a web based prototype shop to aid anyone in the early stages of product development, from conceptualizing, computer modeling to batch production. In October 2011, Beta is preparing to launch its third phase creating a valuable network of designers, producers, and manufacturers stay tuned…
